Doing Away With Dimples

The engineers working for the automotive supplier were perplexed. The substrates that made up their headliner weren't holding together. The result was a product with dimples; small round circles where the layers were separating.

Glues and epoxies had been tried without success. Perhaps a film would work. But the trick was finding a film that was heat resistant enough to eliminate dimpling, yet would still hold the fiberglass material to the foam backing.
